Georgia Tax Credit Program

Alpharetta International Academy has partnered with the Georgia Student Scholarship Organization (GASSO, Inc.) to participate in the Georgia Tuition Tax Credit Program.

Individuals, couples and corporations who pay income taxes to the state of Georgia are eligible to contribute to AIA's Scholarship Fund. Every approved contribution can be used as a 100% tax credit on a Georgia Income Tax Return.

Since the Georgia Student Scholarship Organization (GASSO) is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, contributions may qualify for a charitable contribution deduction on federal tax returns and may be eligible for many corporate matching gift funds.

Important Deadlines:

May 1st: GASSO Donations intended to be used for scholarships to be applied to July tuition payments must be made by May 1st to allow enough time for processing.

November 1st: GASSO Donations intended to be used for scholarships to be applied to January tuition payments must be made by November 1st to allow enough time for processing.

(Please note that the Georgia State Tax Credit Fund may run out of money before the end of the year. In Calendar Year 2011, the fund ran out of money on November 7, 2011, and no more donations could be approved after that. *****Donors are encouraged to make their donations as early in the year as possible.*****)

Step 1: Complete the Tax Credit Approval form found on the GASSO website under the "Forms" heading.

Step 4: Mail all (3) things: the Pre-Approval form , the Donor Designation Form, and the check to GASSO at:

Scholarships decisions are made by the school. All applicants are considered for scholarship.

**NOTE**: Elementary students must enroll in Public school to be eligible to receive a scholarship. Attendance is not required.
