Parent Education/Involvement

Parents are encouraged to inform themselves about our school and its
philosophy through observation, self-study (books about Montessori may
be checked out from the library) and by taking part in our formal parent
education programs. During the first month of school, we ask for you to
attend an adult-only Curriculum Night in order to learn about your child's
specific classroom and the teacher's expectation. In the fall we offer a
Montessori Teaching Series for parents to learn about Montessori
education and curriculum. Books Clubs and Coffee and Chats are also
intended to increase your understanding of Montessori education and your
child's learning process.
